BEE STATUS

Consulta Research welcomed its first Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) partner, Mr Bonang Mohale, in January 2008 – boosting our equity share to 25.4%. Bonang, a qualified marketer by profession, is the current Chairman of the Marketing Association of South Africa (MASA) as well as the Chairman and Vice President of Shell South Africa (Pty) Limited, where he is Chairman of the boards of Shell South Africa Holdings (Pty) Ltd; Shell South Africa Energy (Pty) Ltd; Shell South Africa Marketing (Pty) Ltd and Shell South Africa Refinery (Pty) Ltd.

Bonang is also a non-executive director of the National Business Initiative (NBI), South African Airways, Hollard Insurance Company Limited, Swiss Re African Limited and South African Express Airways.

In the past, Bonang has acted as the Chief Executive Officer of Drake & Scull FM SA, a Facilities Management company; the Chief Executive of Shared Services and Associated Companies of Sanlam; the Vice President at South African Airways (SAA) and the Managing Director of Otis (the world’s biggest and oldest elevator company).
